Weaving cloth for religious ceremonies is always a rewarding experience. Each piece is unique, and knowing that it will be part of a worship service makes it all the more special. I have made stoles, frontals, banners, and prayer shawls, and each one takes on a new meaning for me.

Churches, synagogues, and clergy, too, all have different styles and personalities. Because of this, my ecclesiastical pieces are done on commission. I prefer to create work that is specific to the needs of each particular person. Learning more about the people, how they worship, and how each piece will be used helps me design cloth that will be truly meaningful to those who will use it. Studying the symbols, patterns, and purpose of each piece is an enriching experience.

We all worship, pray, and minister in our own way with the goal that our world will be a better place for our efforts. With this in mind, I am glad to work with people of all religions. It is both a learning process for me and a chance to learn more about the religions of our world.
